Freestanding Gas Grill with Cart Advances Low-Carbon Production

Summary:The industry of freestanding BBQ gas grills with trolleys is accelerating green transformation.

Driven by the "dual carbon" goals, the manufacturing process of freestanding BBQ gas grills with trolleys is gradually upgrading towards low-carbon and environmental protection. In terms of material selection, the industry generally reduces the use of ordinary steel and turns to recyclable 304 stainless steel and recycled plastic. Core components such as furnace frames and grills are made of 100% recyclable 304 stainless steel. After the product is scrapped, this material can be reprocessed into new plates through smelting, with a recovery rate of over 90%, reducing resource waste by 30% compared with ordinary steel; plastic parts of the trolley (such as storage shelf panels and wheel covers) use recycled PP plastic, whose raw materials come from the recycling and reprocessing of waste plastic bottles and packaging materials. Each ton of recycled PP plastic can reduce carbon emissions by 600kg, and its physical properties are equivalent to virgin plastic, meeting the requirements of load-bearing and aging resistance. Some enterprises also carry out "lightweight design" for products, by optimizing the structure (such as using hollow stainless steel pipes instead of solid pipes), reducing material consumption under the premise of ensuring strength. The steel consumption of each product is 15% lower than that of traditional design.​

The energy-saving transformation of production processes has significantly reduced energy consumption. In terms of heating equipment, traditional coal-fired heating furnaces have been replaced by natural gas heating furnaces, with thermal efficiency increased from 55% to 80%, coal consumption per unit product reduced to zero, and SO₂ and dust emissions reduced; the welding process adopts high-frequency induction welding technology instead of traditional arc welding, reducing energy consumption by 40%, while reducing welding fumes and improving the workshop working environment. Some production bases have also introduced waste heat recovery systems, collecting waste heat from heating furnaces and welding equipment for workshop heating or hot water supply, which can save about 200 tons of standard coal consumption annually. In addition, the spraying process has shifted from solvent-based coatings to water-based environmental coatings, reducing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emissions by 70%, complying with the national standard GB 18581-2020 for limits of harmful substances in wood coatings.​

The introduction of intelligent production lines has further improved production efficiency and quality stability. Leading production ends in the industry generally adopt automated production lines, covering laser cutting, robot welding, automatic assembly and other links. Laser cutting equipment can achieve precise blanking of parts, with precision controlled within ±0.05mm, and efficiency 3 times higher than manual cutting; 6-axis welding robots can complete the welding of complex welds of the furnace body, with welding qualification rate increased from 85% of manual welding to 99%; the automatic assembly line uses sensors to detect part positions, ensuring the torque consistency of screw installation and avoiding manual assembly errors. At the same time, the production line is equipped with MES (Manufacturing Execution System), which can real-time monitor production progress, equipment status and product quality data, realizing full traceability of the production process. When quality abnormalities occur, it can quickly locate the problem link and reduce the defective product rate.​

Data shows that enterprises adopting low-carbon production processes have reduced carbon emissions per unit product by 45% compared with traditional production, increased production efficiency by 30%, and reduced product defect rate from 5% to 1.2%. This low-carbon and intelligent production model not only conforms to the green development trend of the industry but also brings significant economic and environmental benefits to enterprises.
